What a blessing to be able to bring a smile to the faces of those precious children. We were truly blessed by this experience. To God be the glory!

Women's Day of Service
A memorable experience at New Caney Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church.
" Invitations were handed out a week before the event to our nonmember friends and neighbors. Woman's Ministries worked hand in hand with Personal Ministries, Deacons, and Deaconesses to make this a memorable day. New Caney Church served 85 families from our community, first spiritually by providing a song service following a short meditation and prayer. We then helped their physical needs by handing out food boxes."

WOW (Women Of Worth)
Dallas, Texas
On Sunday morning, November 6, 2016, Priscilla Brown, Cheryl Eley and Pat Reed, members of Dallas City Temple Women of Worth, accepted the challenge extended to them by the Southwest Region Conference Women’s Ministry to participate in Women’s Day of Service. They made their way to the Salvation Army Carr P. Collins Social Service Center in Dallas and were excited to be a part of helping to feed the less fortunate. As the men came streaming through the lines, the WOW team could not help but try to connect with some faces and internally wondered “I wonder what is his story?” The experience was a very humbling one, to say the least, and truly a blessing to all. They vowed that this would not be the last time they will participate in such a noble and worthwhile experience. For indeed, Jesus said, “for in as much you have done it unto the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.”

Always a blessing to serve! Pathfinders joined Women's Ministries in this gratifying event where we were all blessed as we prepared sack lunches and literature to share. We went to a rural area where we found homeless men and women and handed them sack lunches along with some Spiritual food.

Maranatha's Day of Service was spent with visiting veterans at the VA Nursing Center, helping them with their cognitive and motor skills as they played the Bingo Game. The veterans and staff were so elated as we were also that there are plans to do this often. A family member of one of the vets told us how much she appreciated the visit because they don't often get them. Although we didn't do much, we made many hearts glad.

"A blessed Day of Service was had in Austin where all of our church participated; whether it was in making sack lunches or passing them out to the laborers who sat waiting for a job offer. We prayed with them and gave them their meals. Also, we passed out clothes to the needy."
